Are we using AI to solve the right problems in healthcare? by Martin G. Tolsgaard

Speech given at Int. Conference on Artificial Intelligence: Risks, Regulations and Roadmaps, Dec 7th 2023. The conference addresses the balancing act of regulation: seeking to ensure neither too little nor too much. While we'll present and discuss major societal threats posed by AI, we'll also consider the missed opportunities if stringent regulations hinder AI-based scientific, economic, and general human progress.

Martin G. Tolsgaard is a Professor of Medical Education at University of Copenhagen. He works in the field of obstetrics as a fetal medicine specialist, achieved a PhD in undergraduate medical education in 2012 and defended doctoral dissertation (DrMedSci) in 2017.

Current research program explores how to use new technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), to augment clinicians’ performances and learning.
