Jacob Bock Axelsen, CTO | Risk Advisory, DeloitteSpeech given at Int. Conference on Artificial Intelligence: Risks, Regulations and Roadmaps, Dec 7th 2023. The conference addresses the balancing act of regulation: seeking to ensure neither too little nor too much. While we'll present and discuss major societal threats posed by AI, we'll also consider the missed opportunities if stringent regulations hinder AI-based scientific, economic, and general human progress.
Short abstractAs artificial intelligence (AI) pervades an increasing number of industries and processes, ensuring its ethical and trustworthy implementation has become paramount. This necessitates adherence to both internal and external guidelines, including the forthcoming AI Act from the European Union (EU). The AI Act will introduce stricter scrutiny over AI deployment, placing additional demands on organizational governance, operational processes, and risk management frameworks. Deloitte is offering an award-winning Model Risk Governance platform developed in collaboration with IBM.
