Modularity does not start with MTP. It starts with engineering discipline.
This session zooms in on what must exist before MTP creates value: modular process engineering, ISA‑88 structures and simulation‑driven validation. Through real project experience, it shows how poorly structured automation negates the benefits of modularisation—standard or not.
Engineers are taken through control module types, function templates, digital twins and simulation environments used to validate logic before commissioning. The key message is sharp: MTP exposes modularity—it does not create it.
If you work with PLCs, batch systems or complex control logic, this talk is a reminder that standards cannot replace sound engineering practices. Instead, the two must reinforce each other. A must‑watch for engineers responsible for quality, maintainability and long‑term scalability.
