The presentation will show selected results Knud E. Hansen A/S has accomplished by analyzing large amounts of operational data from ships’ data collecting system with Python coding in combination with vast practical experiences.

The analyzes are a crucial part of the onboard operational excellence for continuously energy saving and lower operational costs. The analyzes facilitates increased awareness onboard and in technical departments as it makes the energy flow transparent, but most important where and how the energy consumption can be decrease backed up with return of investment calculations.

The analyzes of existing ships in particular trades can also provide insight and be used in specification for newbuildings to further improve the energy efficiency of the fleet.
