Medical Device Cybersecurity needs to be part of standard engineering processes used to produce software-based medical devices and to maintain device's security posture in the field. Increasingly, these devices are connected to networks, local or public, and use cloud services. This requires that we take on a "whole system" view of cybersecurity and understand the complete range of possible security events and their potential consequences.
Gain insights to enhance patient safety, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. This session will build on the training from 2022.
Protecting patient safety, ensuring privacy of sensitive data, and protecting a company's business interests from cyber risks requires new skills and processes, yet many find it can be difficult to get started.
This session will build on a previous training provided in 2022. We will revisit some of the key concepts, but also update with new knowledge and review key regulatory changes in the US and EU, which is needed to develop and implement a medical device cybersecurity program as well as to produce more secure devices and the supporting documentation required for regulatory submission.
