The green transition in Europe will require massive investments in renewable energy production, energy infrastructure and electrification of energy consumption in industry, transport and households.
We expect businesses and developers to allocate huge resources towards the green transition in trust of foreseeable and attractive revenues for many years. But how stable can we expect the political support for green transition to be towards 2050 and beyond?
With the report on The Future of European Competitivenes from September 2024, the European Commission points at the necessity to coordinate climate strategies with strategies for global competitiveness and robustness of European energy intensive industries. The high cost of energy in Europe is singled out as one of the main challenges.
In the presentation we will discuss energy scenarios for Europe and discuss supporting framework and acceptable consequences for households and businesses.
