18:35 - 19:10 Remote piloting - and needed training

DanPilot is spearheading the introduction of remote pilotage in Danish Waters for parts of the major transit routes in the Danish Straits. Remote pilotage is not only a technology project.
We will demonstrate how we manage skills and training of not just pilots – but also the seafarers, all to ensure safe and efficient pilotage.

We will go through the pilots internal training scheme, as well as the crew- training and assessment solution which is part of the remote pilotage safety assessment.

Emphasis will be on flexible learning environments to increase access to education/courses, and thereby support and enable the continuous development of professionals
