Python is a widely-used programming language which is used extensively in data analysis, data visualization, machine learning/AI, automation, web development and beyond. Python is beginner friendly since it is designed with human readability in mind. Moreover, it's free and open-source, boasting a vast ecosystem of open code libraries for various purposes.
Content
This webinar provides you with an introduction to all the most fundamental concepts within Python and programming more generally. The course takes place online in Zoom's webinar format, where there will be time for questions in the Q&A session along the way.
Target audience:
The webinar is suitable for both students and professionals, whether you have never used Python before or just need a gentle refresher. No prior knowledge of Python or programming in general is required.
Preparation for the webinar:
To participate in the webinar, you need to have a Google account, as we use Google Colab, which is Google's online integrated development environment (IDE) for Python.
Alternatively: If you do not wish to use Google Colab, you must have Python installed locally on your computer prior to the webinar (e.g., with the Anaconda distribution (https://www.anaconda.com/download) and have familiarized yourself on how to use an IDE such as Visual Studio Code.

Rune Højlund holds a master's degree in Physics and Technology from DTU and has several years of experience in programming, data analysis, and software development. He has taught in both physics and introductory programming courses and has also co-developed several learning apps for physics and mathematics.
