An insider's perspective on how the Event Horizon Telescope captured images and highlight aspects we now begin to understand.
Black Holes are truly extreme and bizarre objects that push the boundaries of our imagination. Yet, tantalizing evidence of their existence continues to mount: First, the motion of stars around an unseen dark object in the center of our own galaxy, then gravitational waves from colliding black holes, and now even actual images of black holes in the center of our own galaxy and the distant galaxy M87.
At this webinar you will meet Professor, Roman Gold from SDU Physics. He will give an insider's perspective on how the Event Horizon Telescope captured these images and highlight aspects they now begin to understand. Finally, he will end with an outlook of what the future holds and the questions he currently has no answers to.
