Short abstract
The use of AI presents great promises for our ability to tackle many of the challenges ahead of us. We need to ensure full use of those opportunities. The use of AI also presents us with a very wide number of risks, many of which we do not yet understand fully. To ensure the necessary trust in AI, allowing us to harvest the benefits, a robust regulatory framework is needed. We also need to continuously develop our understanding of the risks presented by AI and to promote a culture of responsible use of technology. Setting out from a pluriannual, globally anchored research project using a prism of diversity to understand risk, the talk will present a few viewpoints on understanding risk of artificial intelligence.
