Peer Heinlein, Heinlein Support GmbH
Europe needs solid answers—and tools people want to use. For years, teams have tried to create credible alternatives to Microsoft 365 & Teams.
Many initiatives delivered valuable results, yet the real breakthrough never arrived.
That changes now.
The Heinlein Group—specialized in secure communications and Open Source for over 35 years—presents the work toward a Future Workspace for the public sector and enterprises: technically state of the art, deeply integrated from day one, with an uncompromising UX focus instead of stitching services together after the fact. File management with OpenCloud and conference meetings with OpenTalk provide the ideal foundation to build more.
In this talk, you’ll learn:
How we design and build horizontally integrated core services: mail, calendar, meetings, chat, files, identity management, EUDI wallet, and a rich client.
The architectural choices that enable true digital sovereignty, security, and scalability.
How a rigorous UX prioritization process drives user adoption.
Lessons from past European efforts—and what we’re doing differently.
How to operate at big scale when aiming to reach 100+ million Europeans.
Why this essential piece of digital sovereignty only works with Open Source.
Sounds too ambitious?
We’ll show why it’s feasible now—and where you can plug in today.
Who should attend?
IT leaders, CDOs/CIOs, admins, and product/project owners in government and industry.
